Eating My Words...

In my younger days, I always swore that I would never be one of those moms....

One of those moms who drove a minivan.

Unfortunately, I made this very public and I'm now eating my words.

About a month ago, David informed me that he refuses to buy me a bigger SUV because of the gas. He told me I had to go with a van or give up a kid. So, I'm going with the van.

The sad part is I want one now. We never seem to have enough room whenever we go anywhere with anyone else and we always have to take two cars or have more people than seat belts. Now every time I see one driving down the road, I find myself checking it out.

I'm becoming that person I swore I would never be.

Heck, I think some vans are great! But I know what you mean, I never wanted a mini van when I was growing up!

Isn't it hilarious how things change as we grow up? Hec, I'm stoked at the thought of having new pots and pans!

We were deciding between a minivan and the Highlander (which is what we got) when we were getting our last car. I like the Highlander, but it is either the 3rd row seat or cargo space. I didn't realize until after we got it that there was 0 space once the back seat was up! Luckily I'm done with 2 kiddos, but if I had a 3rd I would have to give in and get the van too!
