Off

It's been an off week.

In reality, its just been a rough week.

I pretty much made myself a recluse this past week.  Not only on here, but in the real world also.

Dave left on Monday for a few days of Waffle Golf and since we've been on the go for the past two months, I decided Olivia and I were going to hole up at home and spend some quality Mommy/Daughter time.

Well, it totally backfired on me and I learned that we have only a two day limit before we go insane and kill each other. When Dave walked in the door late Wednesday evening, we were throwing knifes at each other (not really, but you get the point) and pretty much both in tears.

He immediately took us for ice cream.  He knows our love language....food.

Last night as I was drowning my sorrows to my bestie, I told her that Friday, "I just woke up and knew it was going to be a rough day."

Whether she was being honest or just trying to pacify me, she assured me I was not alone with those thoughts.

Olivia and I seemed to be butting heads all week and it just seemed to get worse as the week went on.  On Friday alone, she was the main contributor to a bad four mile run, dumped shredded cheese all over our master bedroom, broke my new Vintage Pearl necklace, and fought me for over two hours over taking a nap....she won that one.

On top of that, there was just other stuff in life that made me want to have a pitty party for myself. Stuff that in hindsight is stupid, silly, and petty, but enough to contribute to my already awful mood. I'm just going to chalk it up to a bad case of PMS.

Ever have one of those weeks? I know I'm not alone.

However, it was one of my best running weeks in awhile.  Minus the four miler with a complaining toddler who thought it appropriate to throw trash all over the track.

After a night of girl talk with the best friend and two hour phone call with my favorite Mom-in-law, my attitude has been adjusted and I'm determined to have a better week.

Which it would be hard not to considering we have special company this week, bookclub, and a possible girls movie date with some of my favorite cousin.

So, that's where I've been lately.

I'm off to see if there is another Duck Dynasty marathon on tonight.

Yes, we're loving that show.  Dave seriously cries from laughing so hard when watching it.  We may or may not have spent our Friday night watching the marathon.  Its a crazy life we live over here.

Happy Weekend! : )

We all have weeks like that. I think our girls are in that trying stage where they are really trying to push the boundries and see what happens. I have been fighting Arielle with the naps since we moved her to a big girl bed. Last night at bedtime I finally bribed her to stay in her bed. We will survive these strong willed little girls of ours!
